Opening Next Week, Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat

Our cast and crew have been hard at work since September to bring you a performance of Joseph you’ll never forget.

This is Joseph like you’ve never seen.

Joseph is father's favorite. Joseph is a gifted psychic. His eleven brothers are very, VERY JEALOUS! It's all here: favoritism, betrayal, attempted murder, fame, famine... and forgiveness. This rock show is turbo-driven family entertainment.

Says Director Bob Navis Jr, "This show is a never-ending parade of surprises and keeps you wondering "what's next?", from the opening note to the finale. Our great cast sparkles with energy and heart. And just when you're laughing the most, out of the blue comes a plot twist or an achingly beautiful melody that has you crying and laughing at the same time. A feast of color, movement, light and magic!"

Near West Theatre strives to make the arts available to all. We are thrilled to announce that for our production of Joseph & the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat we have two Thursday performances dedicated to people with disabilities. We will hold an ASL Interpreted Performance by The HeArd on Thursday Dec. 1 and a Sensory Performance on Thursday Dec. 8.

As always, Near West Theatre’s volunteer actors are diverse in race, neighborhood, age, size, physical ability, and acting experience. They range from city and suburban residents on stage for the first time, to actors familiar to the Near West stage and Northeast Ohio audiences.
