RISE (After School Program)

RISE! is an after-school program for student-artists who want to strengthen their theatrical skills, discover hidden talents, and build long-lasting friendships through transformational arts experiences. No experience necessary!

Monday through Thursday
4:00 PM to 6:00 PM
Ages: 8-13 years
Cost: $20/week (limited scholarships available, see below)

Spring '25 Show Dates

In the spring, students will audition, rehearse, and perform Disney's Finding Nemo JR. for families and friends on our mainstage theatre!

Friday, May 2 at 7:00 PM
Saturday, May 3 at 2:00 PM and 7:00 PM
Sunday, May 4 at 2:00 PM

FAQs

What is the registration process?
Registration is now open (see below). We have the capacity for 35 students. To assure that all students have the same opportunity, registration will be on a first-registered, first-considered basis. Once registered, you will be contacted about payment information (full payment is due January 24, 2025). We are open to payment plans to ensure your children can attend RISE! 

What is the process for scholarship consideration?
Families with a household income eligible for reduced-price and/or free lunch qualify for the full scholarship. Limited scholarships are considered on a first-registered, first-considered basis. Families will need to upload documentation of household income on the registration form or send these documents to Amani Green directly (agreen@nearwesttheatre.org) in order to be considered for a scholarship. Once we receive your registration and proof of income, we will review your application and notify you of the scholarship decision. 

Is there a refund policy if my child can no longer attend? 
If your child can no longer attend RISE!, you are entitled to a full refund if you notify us before January 28, 2025. If you cancel registration between January 28 and February 6, you will receive a 50% refund. No refunds will be processed after February 6.
