Near West Theatre needs your help.
Like many small nonprofits, the impact of the Coronavirus is hitting home. Last week, following the cancellation of the Cleveland International Film Festival (for which NWT was set to be a host site), we announced our own cancellations for our spring production, Parade, and all after school programs. It has become clear to us that we will also need to postpone our Season Announcement and annual benefit, Bohemian Bash.
With these announcements, significant revenue streams are on hold or no longer viable. As many of you know, Near West Theatre’s past financial situation has been tenuous. Ironically, for the first time in years, our current budget is in the black thanks to sound financial management. Still, cash reserves remain low and cash flow continues to be a challenge for NWT. We anticipate the Coronavirus will have an impact of at least $125,000 on our organization over the next several weeks.
If you find yourself in a position to help, now is the time to support Near West Theatre. Gifts of all sizes make a difference. Please consider helping us during these unprecedented times. Make a gift today at www.NearWestTheatre.org/donate or by calling 216-287-6974.
Above all, if you can, please continue to practice social distancing, wash your hands, and be kind to one another. Near West Theatre has weathered many storms as a community. A family. Together, we will weather this storm as well.
