40th Season Announcement Event on Facebook Live

Join us in the comfort of your own home, or your friend’s home, or maybe while you’re at work, but not while you’re driving please, as we go LIVE with our 40th Season Announcement Game Show Event!

On Thursday May 25th at 7:00pm we’ll be LIVE on your computer screen, laptop, tablet or phone as we announce our 40th Season.

For this event we’ll have three teams play five different games to guess the fives shows in our 40th Season. And you can be a part of the fun! As our contestants play and guess you’re welcome to add your own guesses in our comment section.

Make your guesses count! At the end of our broadcast you’ll have the chance to win a 2017-2018 Season Ticket Pass! You’ll have to watch to the end so don’t miss your chance.

Now, let’s cue the game show music as our contestants
COME ON DOWN!

Meet the teams who will be competing to guess our 40th Season during our Season Announcement Game Show Event!

Up first… Calista Zajac and Cyle Black!

You might have seen these two recently on our stage for Mary Poppins. Calista has been performing at Near West Theatre since her debut in Shrek the Musical. Since then she’s joined us for Godspell, The Wiz, and Mary Poppins.

Her teammate, Cyle Black started his Near West Theatre career this past summer in our Young Adult production of Assassins. He’s also in our Mary Poppins cast and has provided his creativity by creating the outrageously fun wigs in “Jolly Holiday”.

Our next team is…Felix Albino and Rachel Johanek

Felix first graced our stage back in 2012 for our production of Children of Eden. From there he’s been on our stage as a reindeer (Snow Queen), Jesus (Godspell), The Tin Man (The Wiz), and many more characters!

Rachel Johanek started off in Near West Theatre’s summer workshop, KLAMOR. Since then, she’s been seen on our stage in various productions, most notable, The Snow Queen as The Garden Witch.

And last but certainly not least… Gwen Stembridge and Ste-Vee Lang!

Mary Poppins is Gwen Stembridge’s most recent production at Near West Theatre, having performed in Oliver!, Ragtime, Jacques Brel, Move On!, and Hair, as well as many Near West theatre Benefits. Neither she, nor her Mary Poppins character Mrs. Brill, have been exchanged by the fairies for a total nincompoop.

Ste-Vee Lang was also recently seen in Mary Poppins, but you may recognize her from our most recent production of Scrooge when she played Martha Cratchit.

We can’t forget our host for the evening, the one, the only,
Kevin Kelly.
