On February 19th the walls of The Wiz came down and shortly afterwards the walls of Mary Poppins began to rise. With the direction of Bob Navis Jr, the design talents of Cameron Michalak, the carpentry skills of Perren Hedderson as well as the painting skills of Jenny Hitmar, the world of Mary Poppins is coming to life on our stage.
With the many pieces and parts of this set we’ve needed all hands on deck! This past weekend the cast of Mary Poppins stepped in time and helped with painting!
We are forever grateful for our cast and community members who are willing to lend a helping hand. Days like this are just one of the many aspects of loving collaboration that make art happen here at Near West Theatre.
You’re not going to want to miss seeing this stage fully come to life after the last paint brush stroke. Mary Poppins opens May 5th and runs till May 21st, so make sure to get your tickets before they’re gone.
Give our box office a call at 216-961-6931, open from 11am-4pm, Monday-Friday, or you can purchase online 24/7. General Admission tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for children 12 and under, and are first come, first served seating. We also offer $25 Star Seat tickets. Star Seat patrons receive a reserved seat in a row of their choice.
It’s also not too late to purchase your Star Seat Show Bundle! This ticket package is good for guests with large parties coming to one performance of a production, or guests attending a production multiple times. CLICK HERE for more info on our Star Seat Show Bundle.
Donations of all sizes create artistic opportunities for hundreds of youth and adults each year.
