Free Technical Summer Workshop Sessions

Come and join our FREE Summer Technical Workshop Sessions! Learn how to work behind-the-scenes at Near West Theatre!

Participants will:

• Learn the basic principles of stagecraft, including set & properties construction, scenic painting and lighting
• Learn the safe operation of various hand and power tools as they relate to theatre tech
• Help construct the set for Near West's summer production of Carrie, the Musical, and
• Join the production crew for one or more productions between now and April, 2018 in any one of a variety of jobs (including set crew, light board operator, spotlight operator, assistant stage manager, props crew, or sound technician)

Dates:
June 5th-28th, 2017
Mondays & Wednesdays from 10am-4pm
This program is designed to allow flexibility of participation.

Near West Theatre
6702 Detroit Avenue
Cleveland, OH
in the Gordon Square Arts District

Application:
Participants must apply for the work sessions by Tuesday, May 30, 2017.
No Payment Required
Ages 15 and up - LIMITED ENROLLMENT!
