Drag Story Hour

Simply Fabulous!

In summer of 2019, Near West Theatre and Veranda L’Ni became Cleveland’s premier hosts for Drag Queen Story Hour, a national effort to organize storytimes with larger-than-life Drag Queens!

In 2022, the DQSH organization introduced a new logo and name to reflect the diversity of performers and allow for more inclusivity.  The name has been changed to Drag Story Hour!

Since our first DSH, NWT’s attendance has doubled in size and we have grown to offer multiple opportunities throughout the year. We create a welcoming environment where aspiring readers can celebrate diversity and inclusion, and break the stigma around harmful gender stereotypes through exposure to queer role models.

This program is ideal for ages 3 to 8 and their families and lasts about one hour.
