Pit Audition Form

It’s the music of something beginning. Can you feel it? It’s Ragtime!

What This Is

• A 7-week rehearsal process (once a week)
• A fully produced musical with live orchestra
• A chance to work alongside a professional Music Director and creative team
• A collaborative environment focused on learning, accountability, and artistry
• A stipend is provided to all participating musicians in recognition of their work

Instruments Needed

• Trombone (doubling Glockenspiel)
• Bass (Upright)
• Tuba
• Keys
• Clarinet
• Flute/Picollo
• Soprano Sax
• Guitar
• Violin

Key Dates

• Auditions: April 25 (10:00 AM – 4:00 PM)
• Rehearsals: 6 weeks (once a week)
• Sitzprobe: Saturday, July 11
• Tech Week: July 12–17

Step 3:
Prepare approximately one minute of music of your choice that highlights your playing ability. A short sight-reading component will also be included as part of the audition.
